Nude Acrylic Set | Behind the Instagram

This set was so pretty. I did this on myself some months back. It is a super short coffin style nail with some colored acrylic and blingy gems!

I love this nude acrylic from Nova Nails (http://novainc.bigcartel.com) The owner of the store opens the store sporadically, but her acrylic powders are amazing! I have a few different nude acrylic powders. This one is one of my favorites since its just a classic nude color.
Check out her YouTube channel here: NovaNailsInc

To spice up the basic nude nails, I added some free hand art using a white nail polish stripper. To add some bling and glow I used some gorgeous swarovski gems. I'm pretty sure I got the gems off amazon. There are so many sellers that you can get those from. I attached those to my nail with the Nova Inc. nail glue.
The final step is to apply a topcoat to the nails, and I used a gel topcoat to make the nails extra shiny and to make sure the design stayed on the nails much longer.

Favorite Fall Nail Polish Colors

My favorite time of the year is Fall. The leaves are changing, the air gets crisp, and you can start rocking dark nails and lips.

I have always really loved Essie nail polish. I think that the formula is good, and the colors they have a so beautiful. I also really like OPI and China Glaze as well.

Here are my top favorite nail polish colors for fall.

I love wearing white nail polish. I think it is so classy and elegant and it makes my hands look super pretty. I think you can totally rock white nail polish in the fall. With all the dark colors we tend to gravitate towards in the fall, I think that having white nail polish really balances any look out.

I love taupe colors for the fall as well. These sort of warm, purple-y brown shades are so pretty. I don't think you could go wrong with taupe. You could even wear these types of colors all year round.

I would have to say my all time favorite shades for the fall are the dark vampy shades of nail polish.
You can do no wrong with black nail polish. This is another one that is super classic and elegant, no matter what you wear with it.

A deep dark vampy red is the epitome of fall colors for nail polish. I really love the colors that when you look at them you see maybe red tones, or purple tones. They are real versatile and in different light look completely different.

What are your favorite fall or winter colors for nail polish?

Summer Polish Picks

Lime & Shine
This week on my nails I am wearing some really fun colors. I picked these nail polishes up at CVS, I'll be doing a haul soon to show all the goodies that a got.
So for this weeks manicure I chose Essie's "the more the merrier" which is an amazing bright lime green. I really like this color, it's so perrrrtty!

I wanted to add some more shine, so I used Essie's "set in stones" glitter polish on my ring fingers and pointer fingers.
It's described on the Essie website as disco mirror ball chaos, and that is exactly what it is. It has big pieces of glitter and also tiny pieces of glitter.

As a top coat I used the Orly Sec'N Dry. This is my favorite top coat ever. It dries super fast and leaves the nails super shiny.

Summer Polish Picks

In the Cab-ana blue

This week on my nails I am wearing Essie's "In the Cab-ana"
This is the perfect baby blue for summer. It is super pigmented and pretty thick. I only need two coats and the polish is perfect.

Over the blue polish I use the Orly "Sec'n Dry" Top Coat. This is my favorite top coat of the moment. It's not too runny, but not really thick. It also goes on easy and smooth, it can easily fix any bumps on the blue nail polish.

Here are some pictures....
