Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer Review

I have found my Holy Grail Concealer!!!!!!

But I'm getting ahead of myself, lets start from the top...

Hey everyone! Welcome back to my blog! I am so excited about today's post, because I am going to be talking about the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer.
I have been completely obsessed with this concealer for the past few months. And I have not been able to put it down. I have had to repurchase it already 4 times. I love it that much! I even used it as a foundation for a while. It is really an amazing product and I wanted to share it with you!

I picked this concealer up at Sephora and it retails for $29. I am in the shade "Custard." They do have a pretty good color range, and I really like that they have yellow and pink tones. The color Custard has a more yellow undertone to it, which goes very well with my olive (yellow) undertones in my skin.

Honestly the price was the only reason it took me this long to finally commit and buy it. But I have to say that the price is worth the product. I do wish there was a little more product, but that's life.

So moving on, this concealer has been a life changer for me. I am a sufferer of the "designer eye-bags" and it has been a struggle trying to find a product that concealed and brightened my under-eye area.
I have had to deal with the concealers that last only like 4 hours and then they magically disappear off my face. Also the concealers that just sink into my fine lines and this makes the fine lines look like giant wrinkles, come on, I'm only 22! We can't have that.
But like I said, when I tried the Radiant Creamy Concealer, I was in concealer heaven! The concealer is very opaque, but not cakey. We never want cake-face. The concealer still feels light weight, like I have barely any on, which is awesome if I want to layer it on. The color is really similar to my winter skin tone but it's still really lightening under the eyes. Which makes me one happy girl.

The wear on this concealer is amazing! I apply the concealer in the morning when I am getting ready for work, and by the time I'm removing my makeup at 10pm, this concealer is still there! It has lasted me up to 10 hours,

One thing I have noticed is that if I don't properly set the concealer under my eyes, it can crease a tiny bit in my fine line. An easy way to get rid of this crease is to apply a little powder over top and it takes away the crease while not removing any more of the concealer.

At one point I even used this concealer all over my face as a foundation. I think it even works better then other foundations. It is more pigmented so it covers problem areas much better. I also loved that I only needed one layer only on problem spots and that was enough. As opposed to using a regular foundation and then applying a concealer over that.

I would recommend this product to anyone that has darker under-eye circles or if you have acne scar, hyper-pigmentation, or any type of discoloration. This concealer will be amazing! Even if you have pretty good skin, you can use this product only where it is needed and it will blend in perfectly with your skin.
This concealer for me is a 9 out of 10. The only reason I'm not giving it a 10 is because I think for $29 we should get much more product than what is in the little tube.

That's it for today's post, I hope you found this review helpful. Thanks for checking out my blog!

Milani Baked Blush Review

My Review of Milani's Baked Blush in Luminoso
I have had this blush for a while now, I purchased it at my local CVS store for $8.99 (direct link to product.)
If you want to check out the haul where I talked about this product it is here: Collective Makeup Haul: June

The color is a peachy pink with some gold shimmer. I really like this color for the summer. It gives the skin a dewy look without being frosted or glittery. I like that it is a baked blush because you don't need a lot to make it show up on your skin. This product doubles for a blush and a highlighter, which makes it perfect for travel.
This blush is comparable to the Nars Orgasm blush. It is almost the same peachy tone, I would say that Orgasm is a little darker than Luminoso. Both the blushes have the golden sheen to them as well, but again I think that Luminoso is a bit toned down compared to Orgasm. The Nars blush has more of a shine of gold and Luminoso has more of a light sheen of gold.
Both blushes are very good. But if you want a cheap dupe for the Nars $29 blush, go for Luminoso (which is less than $10!)
I recently took Luminoso with me on my beach vacation and it went great with my tanned skin. It looked very natural and pretty, it made my skin glow!

I would recommend this product to people with light to medium skin tones who want a peachy, dewy finish on the cheeks.

Monthly Favorites: July 2013

My beauty favorites in July

Here are some of the makeup products that I have been obsessed with this month!

The first thing that I thought of is a lipstick. I have been using the same lipstick all month. It is the perfect color for me. Its like my lip color but better! It is the Victoria's Secret Color Drama Lipstick in the color Absolute. I loooooooooooove this lipstick, it is so creamy and smooth. It is also shiny on its own, so I don't even need to add a lipgloss-but I do anyway. It is so pretty and I heart it!

Next are the two lipglosses that I use with the Victoria's Secret lipstick. The first lipgloss is NYX's Mega Shine lipgloss in the color Beige. This color is the exact same color as the lipstick, so they go together perfectly. I love this lipgloss. It has an amazing lasting power, and its not too sticky or runny. And it smells soooooooooo good, just like candy. I can't say enough good things about this lipgloss.

The other lipgloss that also goes perfectly with the lipstick is the Nars lipgloss in the color Turkish Delight. The color is much lighter than the lipstick but I like it because it makes the lips super shiny. Once its blended in with the lipstick it gets a little lighter but it is still sooooo pretty. This lipgloss isn't sticky or runny either, the smell is a little weird, but once it's on the lips you can't smell it anymore.
This next product I rediscovered, it is the Benefit High Beam highlighter. I used to use this product everyday a few years ago, and I loved it. Then I started trying new things and kind of forgot about it for a while. But I recently took it out and started using it again, and I remember why I loved it so much. It is so easy to use. I only use a tiny bit on the top of my cheek bones and a little bit on my cupids bow. It makes my face look glowey and healthy without looking wet, and it doesn't have that awful glitter chunks like some other products tend to have.

Next is a pressed powder. It is the Revlon Nearly Naked pressed powder. I use the two lightest shades which is "Fair" and "Light." These powders are really affordable but they have a high-end quality to them. They are super smooth and so nice on the face. I use the lightest shade (fair) under my eyes and down the center of my face, that is where I use a light color cream product that is next on this list. I use this so it keeps the center of my face light. Then I use the color "light" on the outside of my face, and that creates a very light natural looking depth, so my face doesn't look one dimensional. I really like the end result with this combination.

I think this has to be my favorite thing to put on my face. It is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser Concealer -what a mouth full! I use the lightest color (Fair) to highlight my face. So I apply the concealer to the top of my cheeks, down the center of my face, my chin, and the center of my forehead. Then I just use my foundation brush (sigma F80) and blend it into my foundation. It helps give my face a more flawless look. Once it sets I use the Revlon Nearly Naked powders to set all my hard work.

This is my all-time favorite lash product. It is the Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara in the color black. This is the best thing ever invented. It has the tiniest brush ever and it coats and gets ever single lash hair with one swipe. It is so easy, it doesn't smudge or come off, it's not flaky and it is sooooo easy to get off when I want to take it off.

So those were all the products that I have been loving this past month. Let me know what beauty products you couldn't live without for the month of July!
